I'm Hector, a junior at MIT studying EECS (6-2).

I build toward human-capable learning systems. To that end, my research interests are in reinforcement learning and continual learning. Previously, my work has played at the intersection of neuroscience and deep learning.

I pursue eudaimonia through the quest of contributing a gigayear to humanity. I am only interested in problems instrumental to this end.

• - researching how to bake skepticism into robots in Improbable AI;
• - poring over datasheets to build modest electronics in 6.115;
• - and re-implementing RL papers in ARENA.
